Neeley Psychological Services believes that psychological evaluations should be as accessible and affordable as possible. For this reason, we make efforts to accept select private insurance plans, even though insurance reimbursement rates for psychological assessment are often significantly lower than the out-of-pocket rates charged by many providers.

Transparent private-pay rates are posted below and are confirmed with clients once the scope of the evaluation is established. We do not add surprise charges during the evaluation process. When insurance is used, we attempt to verify benefits and inform clients of anticipated out-of-pocket expenses, which may include deductibles, co-payments, and co-insurance.

While we have successfully billed private insurance for hundreds of evaluations over the years, insurance processing is not always predictable. Claims may occasionally be denied for reasons outside of our control. Coverage can vary widely based on the specific insurance plan, geographic location, telehealth versus in-person services, type of evaluation, and evolving determinations of medical necessity. Although we do our best to provide accurate estimates, there may be variables that cannot be fully anticipated at the outset. As a result, the final amount owed may differ from the initial estimate provided.

If insurance is used, clients are ultimately responsible for understanding their policy benefits, coverage limitations, and financial obligations, including confirming that the evaluating provider is in-network with their insurance plan. Please note that we are unable to accept Medicaid or state insurance plans.

Dr. Neeley and Dr. Stubblefield are each individually credentialed with private insurance companies. Because credentialing is provider-specific, an insurance plan may be accepted for one provider but not the other. For example, a plan may be accepted for an adult evaluation with Dr. Neeley but not for a child or adolescent evaluation with Dr. Stubblefield, or vice versa.

While coverage is never guaranteed, the following private insurance plans are generally accepted, depending on the provider:
